Oh sorry. I haven’t found the time nor the interest to go through your resume. At first it puzzled me that anyone judging Vonnegut as having an ignorant view of the world would call anybody daft. Then I realised that it is just being consistent.

Could you please explain on what you base your judgement?
Fox News mentioned Cat’s craddle. Is it what give you this impression? Do you believe we’d be in a better place with more nuclear weapons or did you simply nor read this book and other from Vonnegut?
Vonnegut will have more influence on the 21st century than Fox News. The reason why is because they both present two narratives that are diametrically opposed. But Vonnegut will still win out in the end, because his narrative was based in something that everyone can relate to and believe. Fox News based their narrative in lies and fear, and as powerful as that may make them in the short term, eventually humanity will grow out of it. Vonnegut’s ideas, however, are something to grow into.

Vonnegut was blatant socialist with a screwed up and ignorant view of the world. He had a way with words and the former hippies that run our education system worship him for his leftist spin on everything.
Fox News will definitely leave the bigger impact. Look at all the attention they’re getting for their lopsided news reports and how it sways right wingers and causes out of proportion opinions that influence politics.
I don’t know how that can be topped. It’s for the worse, I’d say.
1. Young people don’t read. Vonnegut is not even known by 95% of people under 30.
2. Progressives laud Vonnegut, conservatives dismiss him. In a right/center world Vonnegut was unique. I have to agree, his cynicism and wit were not the stuff that motivates. Fox will definitely have way more influence than Vonnegut.

I’ve never really new anything about this man in till coming across this video, I’m going to go and purchase one his books which would you recommend?
